Enlights was established on April 8, 1999. I clearly remember an embarrassed look of a responsible official at the Regional Legal Affairs Bureau, when I registered my company. “Because no precedented business existed in Japan, we cannot even determine whether the permission is right or not.”

I had a lot of meetings to repeatedly explain the contents of my company’s business to the officials. It took more than one month to persuade them and to obtain the permission to register.
As this incident shows, my thinking and business is rare in Japan. New business planning and CS solution might not have been necessary here so far.

The company name of Enlights is derived from the meaning “persons who enlighten in the dark.”
